Excel Headed to Cedros Island

Capt Justin called in from the Excel as the headed up the line and stopped by Alejos Rocks and had some fun pulling in on some more Wahoo. We now have plenty of Wahoo for everyone and are now headed to Cedros Island and pick up some more Yellowtail for everyone. We will then head back towards San Diego, we will check back in again later.

Capt Justin called in from the Excel to let us know they have started up the line back to Point Loma We got cheated out of our last morning at Hurricane Bank as the weather came up and the winds and rain started we also had a lightning storm in the area The conditions blew us off our spot so we will fish on the way home and do a little more fishing on the way home We will try for some more Wahoo and Yellowtail on the way north we will check back in again later and give you an More ...
01-20-2015 Excels Gets Them AT Hurricane Banks
Capt Justin checked in from the Excel today was our second day at Hurricane Banks and we started getting bit around in the morning We were getting bit on the sinker rigs and PL s we also got some bites on Skipjack unfortunately we we not able to get them all We lost one around lbs we got it to the boat twice but just could not close the deal Dean Jefferies did manage to get a lber on a Skipjack in the dark We ended the day with Yellowfin for our efforts all of a very nice grade all fish More ...
01-18-2015 130 More Wahoo For The Excel
Capt Justin checked in from the Excel to report that they decide to stay at Alejos Rock for another day and man it paid off The fishing down below has been slow fishing and the weather choppy we stayed here we ended with more Wahoo by lunch time We left them biting around and everyone has plenty of Wahoo to take home We are now headed south to Hurricane Banks and should arrive sometime Monday afternoon and we will be able to concentrate on the big tuna We will check back in again later More ...
